hey guys! im 350 lbs and i decided i wanted to change my life around for the first time in my life! im going to register to the gym, anything i should know before i go there? aside from the obvious 1 hour running? thanks :)

no running until you lose a shit load of weight. protect your knees and other joints. Losing weight is all about diet. read the sticky on how to do that effectively.

for exercise use elliptical or bike, even walking is gonna fuck up your joints at 350.

Not gonna say the sticky is the be all, end all of fitness advice, but it's certainly not made up of nothing but garbage. There's a lot of good information in there.

Bike, elipical, swim or walk. Low impact type cardio until you drop some weight. I would suggest walking for a set amount of time.
