So today I went to the doctor from some knee pain and he said that I have patellofemoral pain syndrome, is there any way that I can cure this or help treat it? I really don't wanna never be able to squat and deadlift again.

I have patellofemoral pain because my kneecap isnt sitting in the right place which can be fixed by surgery that I plan on getting. In the meantime Ive been unable to squat or diddly but have been able to get ok leg workouts with the leg press at low weight and low ROM. it sucks but its better than nothing

I can still do some squats and deadlifts but only at really low weight for now. Is there any exercises that you do to help deal with the pain? The pain is really only in my right knee also.

I feel your best bet is to get actual advise from a doctor or possibly physical trainer. Don't want to fuck up a fuck up.

physical therapy helped a little. mostly just stretching and hip exercises. strengthening your hips will add stability to your knees

I did visit a doctor about it he said I could look up some exercises to help and that I should go to physio. I just wanted to hear from some people who have it.

my doctor referred me to a knee specialist who was able to see the problem right away. see if you can see a specialist

Next time I go to my doctor I will do that for sure. Is it something that can be cured or do I just have to live with it?
