Actually it does make sense, since the first few times are when the muscles most need it.

It hurt me a lot the first time, a bit the second and now i feel it only relaxes a bit.

Used a foam and now using a rumble roller. Rumble is far more harder and pleasant on your back, but more forgiving on your legs. it's closer to getting a massage.
