Hi /fit/,

I have been lifting for a year now (this pic is from the beginning of the year) and have barely gotten any bigger since then. I have trouble gaining weight even though I count my calories and am always around 2,500-3,000 daily.

Also, I have sever scoliosis and will always have a shitty body no matter how much I work out.

Should I just give up on fitness all together?

What are your stats? 3000 is meme level "surplus" calories for anyone of average size, ESPECIALLY with fast metabolism. High protein, HIGH calorie. It should be painful to eat. PAINFUL

I have a similar body to yours. I think the issue is that you aren't eating enough. I also ate at 2500 cals before and I was LOSING weight at that amount. I had to bump it to 3500 in order to slowly gain weight.

You clearly have a base physique. Do not give up, bump up your surplus, and keep working hard. I don't think you have a shitty body - you can and will make it if you try!

Some days I feel like throwing up from eating while others I eat close to 4k and am still hungry. It always varies.

Ill up to 3500 consistently and see what kind of difference it will make. I only lift 3 times a week but I also play hockey twice a week.

Way too much. Don't be impatient OP, just slowly raise calories until you start gaining as much weight in a week as you want. Dirty bulking is stupid because your body can only make so much muscle in a certain time frame, more calories does not instantly = more muscle gain unless you're roiding. If you eat way more than your body needs to build muscle, you'll just get fat.

Scoliosis makes my ribcage twist and it is VERY noticable. Looks like I have a hunchback but only on one side. Its hard to see in this picture but trust me. One ribcage looks HUGE and the other looks reaally small.
