Could it be that I*m taking a too wide of a stance when squatting? I'm pointing my toes 45 degrees out because that's what it says I should to, but maybe I should try standing more straight ahead?

Also I see a lot of people walking with their feet pointed slightly out, but I usually walk with my feet pointing forward.

I really haven't given this much thought until now desu. I may go see a physiotherapist or a doctor to check it out

Your knees wont "cave in" per se. But the tension will still be there from the lack of support, try taking a photo of your feet when standing up and i can have a look at it.

Well 45 degrees is way to wide for me, find your own stance. Some people need to have a smaller stance while other wider.

I had a physiotherapist at work have a look at my knees and feet while i had a short break, perhaps you could get on to try the same? depends on where you work of course.

I can't stand regular sneakers, unless they are specifically made with propper support.
