You have incorporated low bar mechanics into your squat. I.e. forward lean and hip drahve. Nothing really wrong with that latter but you should be more upright. Or otherwise just stick to low bar squatting entirely.

Front squat more so you can work your anterior chain (quadriceps, core).

I would work on ankle mobility (the one where you place a loaded barbell on your knees and lean back - check out CalStrength) and for hip stretches just search some up.

You should focus on an upright back. I know that sounds as it would fell awkward but it's want you want. You may even have to drop the weight.

But the back squat is an assistance exercise that helps build general leg strength but overall strength especially in the back and core.

Aim for an upright back, and either go for a below parallel high bar squat (like Ilya Ilyin) or an ATG one where you practice catching that bounce (look at Clarence Kennedy's videos)

Keep your toes pointed more outward and elbows facing in. A strong cue that was taught at a David Laversky seminar was to keep your eyes pointed at your pinky toes. Try to stay under the bar more and figuratively keep it on your back. Other than that just shoot the hole quicker/longer and you seem to be on the right track.

for me i only squat 2x a week maybe 3 if i feel like it, more pulls but not heavy only heavy like 2x a week

i also tried completely not squatting just doing the classics and pulls that didn't work too well since the bar felt heavier when i actually rack it on cleans, jerks were dead since i'd be shaking like it was a max fsquat even if it's a 90% something clean

drop the squatting to as less as you can, then do more technique

even now that i'm squatting 2x a week i still dont go heavy on them for example my real grind out max is 245, but when my coach does the programming i'd either put 210 or most of the times 200 as max so i'd be squatting like 75-85% of my real max most days even though the program calls for 90%

i'm also a 105 so i guess that factors in to why i dont like frequent squatting, i just feel dead if I do a lot of squatting

i forgot to mention that I used to focus solely on getting my squats up to get my lifts up when i used to train alone, that didnt go so well, like i said my max is 245 but i only managed to clean like 150 when i had garbage technique and only doing the lifts 2x a week because i focus only on getting the squat up

now i can powerclean that but my squat is pretty much the same or maybe it went up a few kg since i havent maxed it out, but i never focused on it anymore

this is really helpful m8, thanks. It's actually kind of a relief knowing that I don't have to put my knees through hell 3x/week. I'll try limiting to 1x squat and 1x front squat for now (volume squats, intensity front squats).

I'll try jumps but only carefully because those are tough on patellar tendon. More box jumps than depth jumps I think.

Incidentally, I was just re-reading Larry's Chinese Weightlifting Experience on ATG and from what he says, they only really squat twice a week (one front, one back) and spend the rest of the time doing heavy pulls.

Just got me a pair of compression bandages to replace my knee-sleeves, and i swear i was scammed buying the knee-sleeves.

Sleeves are much more expensive, fixed size so you cant adapt it to your body over time, cant apply pressure to certain parts of the knee depending on where you need it, cant change the pressure overall... It keeps my knees warm the same...

America ranks what, like 30th in the world in weightlifting? Frankly I don't really see that changing much. American lifters are just really weak compared to the rest of the world. The last American male to medal at worlds was Wes Barnett back in 99, and the last American to medal at the olympics period was Tara Nott in 2000. Maybe I've been listening to too much John Broz, but American lifters seem far too wrapped up in technical work and tons of variation instead of just getting strong and working on the lifts. It's no coincidence Lu Xiaojun squats 300 and snatches 176. International lifters just seem to be stronger than Americans.

as tight as you feel is necessary, but not so tight that it impedes your ability to get into the bottom position comfortably. I don't use wraps, but if I did then I'd take care to wrap patellar tendon and kneecap a little more tightly than most to get good tracking. If I was injury free I'd probably wrap loosely just to keep the joint warm and keep everything stable

only used wraps a couple times though, they tend to pinch more than sleeves.

Basketball players generally have to be freakishly tall with ridiculous proportions, and football players, aside from in the more lightweight positions like defensive backs, running backs, etc., have to be both very tall and very large, meaning they would only take up the more heavy weight classes, leaving the light and middleweight classes open. maybe if you're stomping, but one thing I do as someone with chronic problems is to get a really strong pull, and then catch high/ride it down a little in order to control the force on the knees. It tends to work pretty well for keeping knees healthy because you're making sure the weight never crashes on you.

1) Teo is an insane person that trades in his training philosophy every two weeks. You should take anything he says with a heavy dose of salt.
2) The regimens he is describing are for top-tier athletes in China, whom train two sessions a day, five-six days a week. The squatting and pulling frequency make much more sense given this more general training frequency--and this is provisional, tailored to individual athletes and their weaknesses.
3) You probably aren't training twelve sessions a week, and you probably aren't in a position to recover properly from anything approaching the volume, frequency, and intensity Teo is describing. You need to adapt your own program according to what you're able to recover from. I do some home workouts with dumbells during the week. and on Saturdays i do some light cardio + pushups+dips+pushups on a park.
