Would 100 squats, 100 sit ups, 100 press ups and a 10km run everyday actually have a significant effect on your overall strength?

Would this routine be healthy?

Note that these are all body weight exercises with no added weight
>>
Please go away
>>
You'd be a skelly and burn away all your gainz with all that running.
>>
>>35057151

The manga pretty much fucking tells you right after that it is a shitty workout. I dont get this fucking meme.
>>
>>35057166

yeah 100 squats, 100 situps, and 100 pushups are nothing compared to the 10k
fucking christ m8

It's a joke for a reason

>no progression (i.e. you're not increasing the weight you use, or even the difficulty at all)
>no rest time (which is when you actually build muscle)

Now never post here again

/fit/ generally says no, but for a beginner to working out it isn't bad at all.
>>
Well, if you just immediately start doing it you'd probably get all kinds of sprains and inflammation and shit.

If you build up to it, you won't really have noticeably more strength by the end than when you were doing 20 reps of each of the bodyweight exercises.

You'd have pretty high level endurance.

>Would this routine be healthy?
10k a day running would likely wreck your joints.
>>
Jesus Christ /fit/ this thread was supposed to invoke a discussion about weightless training or something, we all know it's a shitty workout

>le running hurts gains may may
>>
>>35057216
Not another "OH MY GOD RUNNING WILL KILL YOUR KNEES" poster. Running is beneficial in so many ways. If you wreck some joints, let them heal, then go back. I've been running for 20 fucking years and through my four major injuries I still have a better mile, 5k, 10k, etc. time than I did as a teenager. Oh, and 3pl8 squat.
>>
>>35057151
It's a decent starting goal for someone starting out, but as >>35057216 pointed out, you *really* shouldn't jump right into that routine if you're new to fitness.

The 10k running, for example, you'd definitely need to work up to. And no, you don't lose your gains. Cardio training has a horrible reputation on this board, but an active fitness-oriented person should at least be able to run a 5k without much difficulty/winding. If a 5k is hard for you, your heart is seriously lacking in strength itself.
>>
>>35057151
I will be starting this routine at the start of 2016.
I will do it for 3 years, or until my body literally breaks and I can't.
I will discover the truth behind the saitama workout.
pray for me.
>>
>>35058204
>I will do it for 3 years
more like 3 days
>>
>>35057839
I love running. Before this semester I couldn't run a mile, now I routinely run three, like daily. I experienced none of the problems that people on this board said I would.
>>
>>35058204
For science!

Hint: create a tripcode and post progress on CBT so we can see the results.
>>
the workout is just a metaphor for wanting something bad enough. nobody on here can do 800 days of that like saitama did
>>
>>35058204
>>35058313
Do it. We're all watching and waiting
>>
>>35057839
I was >>35057216
I run, actually. But not 10k, and not literally every day. I also do other cardio.

I think the majority of people would adapt very poorly to 10k literally every day.
>>
>>35057886
I'd cut that down to a 3k,
2 miles, if you can't run two miles you have serious issues.
Even light jogging you should be able to jog 2 miles without feeling like you're going to pass out.
That's all it takes, you don't have to be a cardio guru to be fit, but you do need cardio in your life.

No matter your muscle mass, if your heart has issues pumping blood and oxygen to your muscles. You are useless as a human being.

>Zyzz couldn't run a mile
>He fucking dies at a young age because of a heart condition.

Besides his steroid abuse, he could of easily prevented this by doing a bit more cardio.
>>
>>35058428
Yeah, a 3k is more reasonable. And you're absolutely right about heart health. My grandfather and father suffered heart problems (high blood pressure and heart attacks) despite looking "fit." I don't want that shit when I hit their age.
>>
It doesn't look like it but its a fucking hellish workout.

100 reps is a little difficult if you dont workout often and 10km running requires good cardio.

The problem is you're gonna fuck up your body and end up as a cripple, first because you can't do it everyday without resting and second because you're not doing any more training than that. Youre gonna fuck up your tendons after a few months of it.
>>
>>35058204
Please do it.

Also before doing it I advise you to be able to do at least 150 pushups, 200 squats etc, itll make the training manageable somehow.
>>
>>35058688
yeah, thats not gunna happen in a month. but that is okay, since Saitama didn't pre-exercise to be able to do it.
>>
>>35057201
It doesnt train strength it trains endurance
>>
>>35057622
cardio doesn't kill gains, that is indeed a meme.

but with this workout, it would be primarily aerobic, instead of anaerobic, and you would have FUCKTONS of cortisol, which literally inhibits hypertrophy.

also, since your daily volume remains the same, you will literally never make hypertrophic gains, just build muscular endurance (and a tiny bit of strength until you can do it all in one set, then no gains ever, just cortisol)
>>
>>35058425
I got a different meaning from it man, sorry. I do think that 10k everyday is attainable somewhat easily, and with little to no damage, but definitely not for a beginner. Cheers dude.
>>
>100 push ups a day
>hardcore

Oh man i do 10 push ups every hour im a fucking animal...
>>
Everyone who tries this will get zero gains after like 1 month and then get fucked up knees after 2 months
>>
>>35057198

>posting shit reasons why its a meme

Its a joke because 100 pushups, 100 situps, 10k is a absolute dyel tier.
>>
>>35058204
Don't forget to not use heat in the winter or AC in the summer. Godspeed, anon.
>>
>>35057174
This.

>>35057151
If you read the manga and paid attention, you'd realize why everyone made fun of Saitama for stating this was adequate training. It's clear his powr has another source that he doesn't realize, or it's meant to be some sort of deeper thing.

It's easy as fuck except for the running - running 10 km every day would dstroy your joints.
>>
>>35060126
Aren't there like a tribe of indians who run 50km everyday or some shit like that?

Can't remember where I saw it. It's was scary tho.

Don't forget you can only have a banana in the morning and no AC.
>>
>>35060155
He didn't say that
He said a banana in the morning is fine
>>
>>35060155
Having more than a banana is fine, the banana is just the absolute minimum you should have for breakfast. You need to do everything in one set as well. All of these factors are important.
