>>
>>34998018
thanks, what about aside from pure protein / shakes?
>>
>>34998009
Yeah, sure. It has carbs, fat, protein and fibre. Pretty solid food, especially if you're on a cut.
>>
>>34998023
Eggs, chicken, cottage cheese
>>
best post workout food is a meal consisting of protein and complex carbs that you've eaten 1-3 hours before your workout
>actually thinking your body can digest and absorb food almost instantly
>>

>complex carbs meme

FYI there are fruits(only sugar) that take longer to digest than some of your 'complex' carbs

The complexity has nothing to do with how fast it can be absorbed. Thats why theres a thing called Glycemic index which states how fast acarb source can get absorbed compared to pure glucose.

The fiber in fruit determines how fast it can be absorbed. High fiber fruits like apple or oranges get absorbed very slow. Ideal on times when you arent training. low fiber fruits like watermelon are ideal pre , intra or post workout since the sugar gets absorbed very fast.

good complex carbs like oats or barley will digest and absorb slower than apples
and if you want to split hairs you should consider that carbs from fruit are fructose which isn't ideal for around-workout time when cutting becaue it goes straight to your liver if glycogen in liver is depleted

by this post you clearly show that you dont really know anything about this subject

glycemic index
apple
>34
oatmeal
>49

this means that the sugar from apple will be absorbed slowed than the 'complex' carbs from oatmeal

Carbs consist and get broken down to sugar, not sure if you realise that. Your body will always try to store glycogen when its depleted. Fruits contain fructose yes but they are not pure fructose, only partly. Mostly glucose. Watermelon on the other hand is almost entirely glucose. My point is dont see fruit similiar to candy. Eat your oats but eat your fruits too.

Watermelon is a 10/10 post workout meal. Gets absorbed very fast, high in water so hydrating. Has citruline which lowers DOMS.

tldr; eat your fruits

nope, another bruh scientist

casein works just as well, forget this immediate absorption bollocks, you should consume enough throughout the day, not slam it in post workout and the rest will take care of itself as long as you hit your requirements
>>
I have pineapple, banana, scoop of dextrose/maltodextrin and whey.
>>

Pls don't be a pleb.

2 soft boiled eggs + 2 ts ricotta cheese + handfull of rucula + 1 slice whole grain bread + salt + pepper + olive oil
>>
why is this on page 5

oh right because it actually helps people.
>>
>>34998009
Is a post work out snack mandatory if you hit your macros?
>>
>>34999029
thats how this board works
>>
>>35000422
it wasnt always like that though unfortunately.
>>
>>34999029
what posts did you find helping
>>
>>34998009
No. You should avoid peri-workout anti-oxidants.

Eggs and sugar. Like a cake.

looks good, just make sure not to eat the egg yolks
>>

ignore everyone in this thread.

as long as you hit your protein and calorie intake at some point in your day it doesn't fucking matter.

7 meals 1 mega meal
morning evening
it literally doesn't matter at all.

and even if it did it wont be more then 0.1% extra gains
