Is mixing strenght and hypertrophy training the best option? I'm talking about splits like PPL. Doing Arnold's Golden Six right now, but I'm not sure about the results it will give.

My point exactly. Rep ranges are very important when you control the sets. Most people do 3-4 sets of any given exercise, in which case they're better off doing 5 reps for strength and 10 reps for hypertrophy

All reps build both (5-12 usually) and it's all a meme. Overall volume and weight is more important.
Find what reps work the best for you, and switch it up sometimes/ depending on the program you run.
