I buy it at Costco, I paid $12 for 2kg, which is relatively cheap for meat in my area. For comparison purposes to buy lean ground beef in the same volume is nearly $10 more, at just under $21/2kg.
The nutritional profile of the turkey is very good.
Per 100g you have 9g of fat, 20g of protein, 0g of carbs and 170 calories.
To compare to ground beef, which per 100g has 180 calories, 10g of fat and 21g of protein.
The turkey is pretty tasty, I wouldn't say as good as beef but it's good, and because it's ground meat it's easy to spice and season while cooking and have the flavour permeate the dish. I mostly prefer it because it's cheaper, and a little leaner over the course of the week. It also has less saturated fats than the beef.
