There's only a little more than a week left till my comp. Yep u read that right - I'm competing. I kept my preparation in secret, only a couple of people knew. It is understandable that to organise a tournament and compete in it - is an impossible task. What else is there to do if you want to bench? My form is of course far from ideal, but I wouldn't call it bad either. I will compete on Sunday the 22nd of November at the tournament held by SNPR.

Nah I don't compete just turned 23 this year. I feel like I need to get my bench +200kg before competing. Also I live in far north, so I would have to drive 400km for closes powerlifting competition. Moving south next year though

Thing is. I couldn't really progress on TM anymore when I did that. I kept failing. Maybe it was something I did wrong maybe not. But at least this feels like it's working again.

I'm just gonna keep going until I don't progress anymore. Especially for my bench it feels better than TM so that's good. It was really lagging behind.

Big chance that once I start stalling I wont keep grinding but just change things around as I see fit. Maybe even just taper towards more intensity and start going for a meet again.

Tbh i use a deadlift bar in comp so stiff bar block pulls mimic the height and starting position id be in as the plates break the ground

Plus it lets me handle a ton more weight for more reps than id try from the floor, building more strength and confidence

Always pull in your strongest safest position. You cant set up like you would for a normal pull anymore than you could for a deficit, the bar is in the wrong place
