As some of you may remember a few years back, we never solved gooby's vanessa puzzle. His hint was "arcfour cbc" and everyone thought the key was 4 letters

I know shit all about coding/encryption, but someone must know how. Let's try to get /sci/ or /g/'s help again so we can put this to rest
>>
>>34923893
This seems like a hexadecimal code. When you type every line in a field and "translate" the code to a string there will be actual letters. Just google hexadecimal to string
>>
>>34923893
there are no letters other than a b c d e f - that's 6 so these may be pairs of numbers in hexadecimal system
not sure if it's helpful
>>
>>34923893
>arcfour cbc

Am I retarded or doesn't this make any sense? Arcfour is probably RC4 - a stream cipher, but CBC is a block cipher mode.
>>
>>34923943
I'd say take those pairs separately and search for numbers from 40 to 7A since they are letters
>>
>>34923893

Is pic supposed to be the puzzle?
>>
>>34923978
Is it possible it could be encrypted twice? Like use arcfour to get something, then use that with the cbc shit?

Again, I have no idea about any of this though

Yes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8fopbq_PBI&feature=c4-overview&list=UU1XHNZDn3btv7454Pkz7THg

The code is at 7:04
>>
No one has made a thread on /sci/ yet
>>
>>34924027

Totally possible.

CBC is just a mode of operation for a cipher though, it means shit without the cipher.

I THINK there was some kind of a trick to make a stream cipher emulate the behaviour of a block cipher though, in which case I could maybe make some sense of this. I might be delirious though, it's fucking late. I'll look it up tommorow bro.
>>
you guys are retarded, this is just a normal youtube error page. The puzzle isn't in the hex code, but the rest of the image

If you image search "youtube error 500" you'll see all the normal error reports are base64 encoded. This is different.

If we wanted to talk to retards we would go to /b/. Fuck off.

You seem new.

/fit/ can't figure out whether or not to count the weight of the bar in their lifts, or if they should cut or bulk when they are 300 lbs and 40% bf. There is absolutely 0% chance of solving an actual puzzle.
>>
>>34924262
We solved them before. His first puzzle had DYEL as a static Morse code in one of his videos sound file I believe

This one is legit tricky, though.
I remember back in my days as a /g/ denizen, those guys got stuck pretty hard on it too.
Then again, some might say it's to be expected when you give some mumbo jumbo code to a bunch of people whose field of expertise was putting pictures of anime girls over a soft gradient background and posting it ad nauseam in desktop threads.
