Yes.
I lost 2 "close" friends after changing my life.
I used to be fat and my friends were thinner than me, but when i got fit and become more attractive than them and they noticed i was getting a lot more attention than them at bars etc, they stopped asking me to hang out with them etc.

I don't even care, they can fuck off.
Met a lot more awesome people ever since i changed my life and got a lot more confident.

Honestly, the best feeling after getting fit is looking awesome in clothes that you'd normally even cringe at the idea of wearing in public.
