I have always went with the standard buzz cut since military days.

But recently i have taken a slight interest in how i would look if i were to have a different haircut.

I keep some length on the top, about 3-4 inches and then have the sides really short. It's simple as hell but I have really thick, healthy looking hair so it works.

I used to have it long before I was /fit/ and would like to grow it out again but I can't stand the idea of it looking shit for about a year, please advise.
