I have more or less the same problem but worse.
I tried shittons of shampoos but honestly non of them was actually effective (also in long term they are most likely be useless).
So basically shampoo/oil/hair grow caps are more or less useless, however I don't deny the fact they can help, but I highly doubt they are permanent solution.

I recently met a doc and she suggested I should go to the hospital so they can check my blood, and then I can take the next move, if these things didn't work.
I more or less already know that I have 2 options: Drugs or hair transplant, or maybe both. You can't grow back something what is not there anymore, so if your case is like mine you better get your wallet ready.

Finasteride is said to cause hair growth in about 60%, Minoxidil has some success too. Anything that stops the loss can't make room for some growth, though they said it is much easier to prevent it than to treat it. As in, don't expect miracles once you lost a lot of hair.

I had the same problem when I was 23: my hair was falling at a disturbingly fast rate. Had to do something.

I read most studies about Finasteride (Propecia/Proscar) and gave it a shot. After 6 months the problem was almost gone. Kept using it until last year (I'm 31). My brother has very similar hair - he let it go and he's bald today. I'm not.

So, say what you want about finasteride, the reality is that it worked for me. I never felt any side-effect, but I guess that can vary. I feel like I had a crazy high testosterone level in my early 20's - whatever loss of sexual drive people are talking about never affected me. I was, and still am, a horny motherfucker.

If you're on a budget check our Proscar. When you cut it in quarters it gives you about the same dose as Propecia, at less than half the price. If you go generic it falls under 10% of the price of Propecia.

I started taking it, along with minox, in January whilst at a NW 3 level. In terms of progress, I haven't noticed much, but it can take at least 6 months.
