same boat, I don't like any of my friends I went to highschool with and I didn't go on to uni to meet more people, wana try to like fesivals but they just seem so boring, like what is there to do apart from seeing a band you don't know while standing ankle deep in mud and being surrounded by sweaty idiots. Portsmouth, so south coast man and through drug use and an interest in Jungle and dance music, i'm not sure how i'd suggest getting into it with no friends into the scene but maybe go with a friend to some festivals or clubs drop a few bombs of mandy and if you love it make some friends expand your circles and that mate best festivals for raving imo (of ones i personally went to):

guessing you've not been before then. first time I went I was on some phone charging stall my mate owned. did fuck all work and just got fucked all day, walked straight past security since we had staff bands. last year actually bought the ticket. It's a really chilled out place. just make sure that if you are bringing stuff in, don't leave it in your bag or whatever.
