Damn, its been a long ass time since someone's made a thread about brutalism
for big buildings, brutalism is my fav, especially the buffalo city court building. post modernism is the way to go for homes tho
It's probably the best example of a movement that started with a few exceptional pieces of architecture and then fell into thousands of stale copycats that are now complete eyesores.

So it's like the shoegaze of architectural movements?
>>9735671
aesthetic is not an adjective you fuck :)
cool my university's math building has this kind of architecture
>>9735810
Exactly.
>>9735817
every university has buildings that employ brutalist techniques. in fact, that's basically what brutalism is used for. schools, govt. buildings, hospitals, parking garages.
Brutalism did nothing but exchange the fetishism of ornamentation for the fetishism of forms.
It's pretty old hat now
>>9735877
its shit, like most postmodernist architecture.
