Thinning one's hair is a throwback relic from bygone times when straight and stringy was cool. We're talking 50 years ago.

It's now acceptable for men to have crazy volume, and actually even chic and cool, so I don't know why barbers are still thinning hair out. It seems kind of like your barber knew you'd feel gypped if your haircut was short (time-wise) and simple, so he started fucking around just to fill up time.

Anyone experienced itchy scalp on NoPoo or Conditioner washing? I don't know whether I have dandruff or not when I scratch my head in the light the things that come out are like little white coils. No idea if that's just fluff from fabrics/towel or actual dandruff.

I've never had this problem until I moved. I'm assuming the water is really hard here as my shower glass is covered in calcium residue.

Any tips on washing ones hair in these conditions. I even went back to regular shampooing and anti dandruff stuff which hasn't helped.

Shit tier hair here, even my barber half-jokingly said that it's bad. It's thin, it's dry, it's flat, but somehow manages to be heavy so that any product I put on it ends up not holding throughout the day even with hair spray or whatever.

So, I'm thinking doing something like washing every other day with just water and every other day with just conditioner. No poo with just conditioner didn't do much for me. Also I guess I shouldn't use any products during this process.

Any advice?

If it's too large or too square or if your forehead is large, it cannot be pulled off, you have to look teenage to some extent

I don't believe you. It can't be thin and dry and still fall down that easily with product in it. Get a kind of hairspray that really makes it solid right away. Don't use liquid-ish wax or gel if it doesn't work. Get something really dry instead, like gatsby, or skip that and only use the hairspray. Kinda try to get it the way you want, spray it and then fix the parts that are sticking out or whatever, idk what your hairstyle is like (or the one you're going for).
