Nice, rivalling Knoch at this point by the looks of it.
How long did it take and how much did it cost for all of the materials etc?
>>9312563
where do you purchase your supplies?
did you learn to do this from a book?
>>9312590
Looks very nice.
Fit pic please?
>>9312563
Thats dope m8. Please tell me:
Did you learn everything by yourself or you're studying pattern-making/fashion design?
If by yourself, what books are good to start from scratch?
Did you created pattern from scratch or used old bomber to make them?
>>9312573
Damn dude, that's sick.
Going to have to seriously step up if I ever wanna do stuff like that.
Great job OP
>>9312603
nah not at all yet. knoch is so much more familiar with patternmaking and the technical side of sewing, much cleaner lines/stitching etc
this jacket took a long ass time because i ran into a lot of problems with it and basically made it twice. like two months
cost is probably around 80 dollars for materials
>>9312604
>>9312625
mostly from rockywoods fabrics, zippers and snaps from ebay
i havent taken any classes but i might go to school for fashion this year. i bought a pattern online for a bomber, made a jacket following that to see how it would turn out and become more familiar with it, then i edited the pattern a lot for this one. havent read any books but i hope to.
>>9312611
<pic is the only one i have atm
>>9312636
just spend some money on decent materials and get at it. good synthetics are pretty cheap (9~10 a yard) and you only need about two yards for the shell and two for the liner for a jacket. (insulation is a different story, i spent about 35 bucks on two yards of primaloft to insulate this jacket but not every jacket needs insulation). if you are making a jacket with a liner, get a pattern w/ instructions online because it is kind of confusing how to do that if you've never done it before
>>9312792
forgot fit pic
>>9312799
wtc hair?
>>9312799
Looks a bit puffy at the waist but good job nonetheless.
>>9312799
looks really good man, nice to see you're still making and modifying your own clothes
>>9312563
Fuck that's nice
The sleeve details are dope as hell
>>9312799
Jesus Christ man, dope as f. Which places are your fav to cop fabric from ?
That looks really good OP, do you think its better to start really small, with things like modifications, or do you think just about anyone can make a jacket, provided they have the tools and are willing to put in work?
>>9312799
Lookin good af
Tho the glasses look kinda nerdy
>>9312870
thanks man. all the fabric for this jacket came from rockywoods.com but theres also nick of time textiles and natures fabrics that i've bought from, theres also this list that i've used
plus i still go to goodwill and cop stuff to shred
>>9312919
whatever works for you. itd be better to get familiar with your machine and how things work generally before launching into a project like this but you could definitely start with something more basic like tees or unlined jackets or hoodies. but anyone can do it just takes some practice
>>9312929
yeah i need them to see or whatever
>>9312870
have you been making anything lately btw?
>>9312976
Cool, thanks. Should probably dust off my grandmothers machine. That looks like a lot of fun. Cheers m8.
Shit dude this is impressive.
top man.
>>9312590

>>9312799
lunarcore prince has arrived. really good job man
>>9312603
he said it himself, knoch has been doing this for a long ass time
clean seams like this aren't easily done
not to mention knoch does his own patterns from scratch
>>9313079
i'm currently working on a pair of crusted corduroy pants (leftover wranglers that i want to find a purpose to wear)
it's my first contact with needles, so it's gonna be full fuccboi tier, but i'm propably gonna post it once i finish it
>tfw recently thrifted a shirt and cut the pockets off
>feels hella good, like I made it my own
I want to start making my own clothes, where do I start?
>>9313311
forgot to say: nice work cheaeaese
you should try the same pattern in different fabrics now
>>9313311
what does knoch do for a living? he's got more clothing than a military surplus
>>9313329
nobody knows
>>9313329
He said something vague like 'people ask me queistions and then I get paid for it heh :)^)))'
>>9313329
most of it is cheap shit or shit got for cheap, e.g. 5th hand julius etc
no hate btw, in case his personal dickrider household troops decide to crucify me
>>9312792
Teach me, OP. Where do I start? Are you self-taught?
Shit is seriously impressive, man. I love it.
>>9313348
the military antiques are worth far more than the julius
>5th hand
this isn't trunks
>>9313391
> the military antiques
hah
do you really know the subject or are you just talking out of your ass
>hating on one of maybe 5 decent posters on this board
ye ok buddy how's your first week on /fa/ going, good?
>>9313414
I know he owns a epee de pair de france which is like 5k easily
>>9313419
>epee de pair de france
what's that?
>>9313457
a sword hence the epee
>>9313414
>trunks
>decent
top fucking kek
>>9313534
>it's kinda ignorant and silly
same could be said about you reaching and projecting about other posters
>>9313534
It's not silly at all since most of his presence is just shitposting. Yes, sometimes he drops some wisdom but most of the time he's only attacking people for wearing brands he doesn't like. He's so fucking angry. Not only on this board.
>>9313543
I agree with this, he's just a massive shitposter and elitest brand whore
But I like his fits a lot, he has style
Looking dope.
Where do you find good patterns?
Looking for an unlined jacket similar to pic related
>>9312563
Cool shit yo.
I've been working with an old sewing machine and bought some light wash straight jeans from the trift store and sewed a pair tighter. It's looking alright don't have any pics yet.
>>9312563
what sort of machine do you have?
>>9313190
you are dick!
Dyed it myself. May not be effay but it's mine and I love it.
>>9314587
I like it. I'm not into the style but the colors are nice. Did you twist the shirt kn order to get that kind of pattern?
>>9312563
op this jacket is sick af, do you do commissions?
i made my own pair of junya jeans but cutting up a pair of uniqlo selvedge and sewing on panels. don't have any good pics tho
>>9314654
Yep, pinched the middle and twisted it into a loose, flat spiral, then put some rubber bands around it.
