stop consuming, refuse the hypostatizations of the term "revolutionary", and let your aesthetic emerge from the localized conditions of experience
>>
>>9126515
Purchase a firearm, but only one box of bullets. It would be a shame to waste money on ammo since it will only take one round to kill yourself

I don't take all utilizations of objects and things and relations to fall universally under a schema of consumption. No disagreement that things are fairly totalized, just not all necessarily related to consumption. Purity is an impossibility, but such a desire as this is capitalism's (always with its abstractions, I know you know), so hybridity and heterogenous assembly should be at least of some comfort to the resistant.

why? it just looks so stupid and tryhard. why don't you just start with a nice pair of raws (i recommend naked and famous for the best quality and also a good price) some nice red wings boots, a few high quality flannels from banana republic or jcrew, a nice parka from carhartt and a few fitted t-shirts (not loose, it looks horrible, tight is better but only if you are fit)

Holy shit where did you come from?

I think I disagree with you about consumerism, but how are you defining consumption vs. buying something to use?

Anyway, OP, yeah, you dress like a revolutionary by becoming one. No time to start like the present - especially a present like this one (assuming you're American, mostly for rhetoric).

(Not to also hypostatize revolutionary as someone who goes on FTP marches, because lolololol, but this is the most promising and direct challenge to the US power structure in a while, and really, goddamn, why aren't all you in the streets?)

>>9130418

People would care, but I don't know, doubt it would go off like it has. The particular circumstances of St. Louis contributed a lot to what's happened.

Hmm, I'd have to think about it, but I will very blithely say here that there is a relation towards appropriation that is very real (especially if the clothes are purchased second-hand (as if this somehow frees the object from the phantom of its exporpriated labor, but nonetheless, it has rendered itself as something other than, and once-removed, from its originary position as a seductive disgorge from the open wound alienated production)) if one takes Capitalism as a primarily aesthetic force (consider, for example, anything from the business suit to the writings of land surveyors preparing acts of imperialism on behalf of a corporation.) It's not that the fleshy suffering is at all lessened by this reading, but it favors more recognition and cohabitation with ambient conditions (such as clothing, even if there has been some tentative recognition that clothes serve as ideological weapons for some time--still clothes must be liberated further into a discourse that negates a dichotomy of a shirt that is either ideological or non-ideological) that most often take as at best secondary (and this, only by the most post of the post-structural.) For me, it helps me feel as though I am every moment participating in dissent, and even if this is ultimately proved to be hallucinatory, I have nonetheless used this empowerment via capitalism's objectification processes to enact myself towards its end. That is, it energizes me, although I do also believe that publicly advertising difference (being myself white, I must make some compensation, lmao) is a necessity, and that the image of a dispossesed of capital can and should be extremely flexible and not endlessly caught among hippy-modernism, torn up jeans, and poverty fetishism.
