Are you talking about the Blackphone? I haven't looked into it too deeply because I don't like Android, but the cybersecurity folks I know are excited about it.

Best thing to do is to take it up like a religion: batteries out, power button down for sixty seconds, nothing that could open someone up to a prosecution or be used to foil a direct action is exposed to the Internet, unless maybe if it's properly encrypted at every possible point of capture.

The main reason I dislike cell phones is their intrusiveness, the inevitability of randoms who got your contact details making claims on your attention and time when you're focused on something more pleasant or important. I have the burner for emergencies and for the handful of people who I trust to grab me any time. Everything else goes through GV.

Nexus 4 currently, I loved the design. Good size and the back looked good. I was going to get the Nexus 6 this year but 6 inches is a ridiculous size, even the iPhone 6's 5.5" is shitty (especially the design, why couldn't it stay 5S).

So I'm thinking I might cop a Nexus 5 in black. They look pretty good.
