OP as someone who is generally highly critical on this site... this really isn't a bad stand alone tee to have in your closet. It's a non offensive pattern with a modern fit for men well into their 20s. Great for a casual day with a pair of jeans. I say cop. There's a big difference between being "that guy who dresses nice" and a tryhard faggot. If you're not ugly and maintain a nice fit on your pieces, you're fine as long as you're not wearing a tuxedo to the dining hall. Collared shirts are well within the acceptable range of formality for an undergrad, as long as you don't make a huge deal of being "dressed up."

Ties are the cutoff for me. I prefer more textured button downs (like linen) and ties almost never look good without a jacket, and jackets will almost always make you look like an asshole as an undergrad, so no go on ties.

Casual texture collared shirt, even rougher trousers like linen, wool, or flannel (or cotton chinos if that's too nxtlvl for you). Roll up your sleeves, wear a nice watch. Congratulations, you look decent, have room to explore and have fun (shoes, accessories, hair) without being boxed in to a uniform, and every campus bitch and her mother gets wet looking at you. T shirts I imagine would be fine. I got a shirt from them it was fine, nothing amazing but pretty much what i expected. I got a wool sweater and it was one of the least comfortable things i've ever worn and the fit was pretty bad. I got a light weight nylon jacket as well it was fine in the least enthusiastic meaning of the word. With all of the stuff you can expect it to "fall apart" as in threads coming out an such with light wear.
