Hello /fa/. First time there, I need some help in choosing clothes for fall.
I wanted to wear jeans, boots, parka and some shirt/tshirt. Don't know much about fashion, but I think it's time to improve myself.
Jeans - Levi's 511 (dark blue or black)
Boots - Caterpillar Orson or Red Wing Iron Ranger/Beckman (they are expensive, man...)
Parka - no fucking idea
Please /fa/, help me out.

>>

Yes. This one looks good. Better darker one, perhaps bit longer. I just don't know which one and where since there are so many brands and variants. Same with jeans, but people tell me Levi's is good for the money.
What can you say about boots? Are Iron Ranger worth the price, I mean 280€ is quite an ammount of money for shoes that wear out in hal a year...

IR's are worth the price.
consider getting a pair of unbranded, they're very good for the price, and from what I hear the same price as levi's in EU
>>
>>8524760
Beckman or Iron Ranger? Also, I live in Germany, it rains there a lot. Is it really good to wear leather shoes in rain? What about Caterpillar Orson, they look good too and cost 100€ less.
Unbranded? Which model would you recommend. Best were slim since I find skinny difficult to wear.
>>
>>8524760
I mist add something. Googled Unbranded and it seems like they only ship from USA with 30$ shipping price and 25% taxes. Are Levi's really that bad?
>>
>>8524760
They look fucking ridiculous in that photo
>>
>>8524708
I don't know how you wear boots but, I've had my IRs for almost a year and they look brand new except for a couple scratches and some heel wear. 280 eur seems like a high price for a pair though since they are $300 usd or less in the states.
>>8524760
Unbranded are solid jeans but, they can bleed really bad. You can find some N&F for about the same price on sale. Rawr Denim has a sales guide published somewhat frequently and they also have a jean search engine.

>>8524796
300$ is good price, but taxes will make it even more expensive.
>>
>>8524779
I have no experience with Beckman, so I can't comment on that, but my IR's are awesome.

Leather shoes in the rain should be fine as long as you take care of them, and I actually own a pair of Caterpillar Orson, I got them for $7 on eBay and they're decent, but they're very obviously fake leather and the bottom of the shoe is pretty shoddy. If you buy them, I'd recommend getting better laces for them.

I got the slimmest fit possible, and they fit really, really well on me. I'm a 29 waist and bought the 101 skinny fit, pic is me
>>8524760
>>
>>8524796
My Unbranded haven't really bled much at all, except onto my socks when I wear them tucked in with boots.

>>
>>8524804
I know it's stupid question, but how often should you normally change your wardrobe? I mean, I see people from my university who have new cheap shoes every month. Is it normal to wear same shoes for more than one year (of course I will not only wear them, but I will not buy another 300€-boots).
>>
>>8524825
As often as you feel you should, in general you should buy high-quality things so you don't have to replace them every month. It's more cost-efficient and you will usually look better.
>>8524812
epic meme
>>
>>8524806
I must have been my pair then. The dye bled onto my hands when I put them on. This was when they were brand new though and this happened like 2-3 years ago so they might have changed the dye.
>>
I think a few of us have RW Iron Rangers or similar boots that don't get much wear because /fa/ as whole has shifted away from workwear/menswear.

Someone hear may be able to sell you a used, but likely well-cared for pair for less. Ask.
>>
>>8524851
Mine are 7 months old now, and I've only had them bleed onto socks like the other poster said, and sometimes the bottoms of white t's
>>
>>8524864
Oh, so they are considered bad tone? I find these boots quite good with jeans. But again, have no idea about fashion.
>>
>>8524581

What is your price/climate? I really like Norse Projects but, they are expensive.
>>
>>8524984
I aalways thought that because of my bigger frame and wide feet that big boots would look awful on me. Is it opposite? Would I look better then a smaller built person with like a size 10 where in a 12 - 12 1/2
>>
>>8525076
What I mean is I wear a size 12 or 12 1/2

I guess it depends on the overall shape of your foot and the size of the toe box. In my opinion the taller you are the better you can pull off bigger soles. This is what happens when you have a small foot and order big boots.
>>
>>8525038
Up to 100-120€. Mostly around 14-18.
>>
>>8525135
Also rainy as fuck.

>>8525135
You could probably get away with just a sweater or a thick shirt if that is in Celsius.

Fjallraven stuff gets pretty pricey, but they got some good $200 parkas and jackets.

It's still a bit out of my price range...

>tfw found an old parka (synth cloth but well who gives a shit it's warm) in a bazar for 10 dollars. 20 dollars for repairing the holes and missing buttons and it's fine as hell. I think It's from a nice designer but as the tag thing got torn I don't know.
