Is there an staple iconic North Face jacket coat?
Poor man's Arcteryx

worthless without that gore tex

Poor man's acronym and moncler
Yeah it looks good OP if that's what you're asking

This. Ever since I've got a gore tex jacket I see no point in paying a lot of money for a non gore tex outdoor jacket.

Definetely not a poor man's moncler, they're around the same price point and for different purposes.
OP, make sure it's goretex because hy-vent is pointless. Alternatively, spend a bit more and get a tilak or arc'teryx.
The Dryzzle is the cheapest North Face model that has GoreTex. Currently have one in my eBay cart for £130. Pretty tempted unless there's another /fa/ approved TNF jacket?

Arcteryx cerium retails for $400 (but can almost always be found for $250)
Moncler acorus is $750 retail
What the fuck are you talking about "same price point"?
Btw, I have both and arcteryx puffers are shit since they moved manufacturing to china.
For hardshells there is no 1:1 comparison since moncler doesn't make any.
Only veilance is on par
