What's normal when you use Nair?

Hi there.

I got little red pimple thingies on my follicles after using Nair. It doesn't hurt or itches but.I was wondering if should I stop using it?

Last monday I finally decided to try this Nair thing to get rid of my leg hair.
I did the "small patch of skin" test and I noticed I got little red spots on my skin.
It seems like my hair follicles got kinda irritated. I talked to a friend about that and she said that was normal.
Last wednesday I tried on my whole left leg and got the same result.
Besides those little red pimple thingies I didn't got any other alergic reaction.
It doesn't hurt, my skin didn't got red and it doesn't hurt but it itches just a little sometimes.

Today those little dots seems like they have "dried" so it seems like they are healing.

Now then. I was planning on using Nair once a week. My friend said that eventually the hair will get thinner and it will fade and since I'm a guy I bet it will take more time than usual and stuff.
Is that true? I didn't find too much info around to support it.
