how the hell do i make my hair more straight and less puffy? they just seem to bend 90° (pic related, my hair are basically the same) in their middle no matter what i do, and they always get super puffy.
The weird thing is that one day i woke up and they were super straight and not puffy at all for some reason, i didn't do anything special the day before that.

do you shampoo every day? I switched to shampooing once a week with this shampoo bar thing and my hairs way less poofy now

I shampoo 3 times a week, once a week seems a tad too much, my hair would get greasy and dirty
Basically everyone with "puffy" hair actually has damaged curly hair.
Stop shampooing all together, condition the hell out of it, maybe put in a leave in conditioner and let your hair completely air dry. The natural curls will start coming out and you'll be amazed.

your hair is producing grease in response to the shampoo. If you stopped using shampoo at all your hair would eventually become significantly less greasy overall.

Surprisingly this is true. I thought it was a ruse until i didnt shampoo my hair for a week, at first i used hot ass water to wash all the grease away but after day 3 it just stopped.
My hair wasnt short though, maybe 10 inches long i had like an autismo decaprio going on so i cut it
Not op but I have a question: so, instead of shampoo should I just wash my hair with water and that's it?
