This is something I have been thinking about, /fa/.
When one becomes old enough to secure a good job, said job will probably require you to wear a dress shirt+nice pants anyways. Since all the men there will be wearing the same type of outfit, being effay will lose all meaning.

Ultimately, /fa/ is about how you feel about yourself. Do you feel like you look good? Congratulations, you succeeded.

Oh yeah, and there's variance even within a strict dress code.
Dress shirt + slacks can yield a plethora of potential outfits.
I guess a nice side-effect of being /fa/ is banging all those water cooler honeys.

YOU ARE JUST POSTING TERMS, AND "BUZZWORDS", WITHOUT THINKING, AND WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THEY MEAN, THEREFORE, YOUR POST IS VIRTUALLY NONSENSICAL.
>Is being fashionable pointless after a certain age?
BEING FASHIONABLE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT ONE DOES WITH A SPECIFIC, OR PARTICULAR, PURPOSE; BEING FASHIONABLE IS A MERE CONSEQUENCE OF ONE'S PERSONAL STYLE.
>When one becomes old enough to secure a good job, said job will probably require you to wear a dress shirt+nice pants anyways.
1. HOW IS BEING EMPLOYED, OR NOT, RELEVANT TO BEING FASHIONABLE, OR NOT, ACCORDING TO YOU?
2. DEFINE "NICE PANTS"(?).
3. HOW ARE A DRESSCODE, OR A UNIFORM, PRECLUSIVE TO BEING FASHIONABLE, ACCORDING TO YOU?
>Since all the men there will be wearing the same type of outfit, being effay will lose all meaning.
THE ONLY THING LACKING MEANING HERE IS THAT SENTENCE.

You make good points but you talk real annoying. Guess i cant hate though youre one of the most consistant and long lived namefags on this board
No. People who do little things to make themselves feel good end up being the happiest
Fahion is pure elitism for you. It will be pointless and I hope you grow out of it.
universally everything is pointless
its all up to you
Being middle class isn't fashionable.

After a certain point it's more admirable to be well-dressed than fashionable.

Slowly start wearing.more casual shit.
I started by ditching the Allen Edmond shoes for boots that were more comfortable.
Then rolled up my sleeves under the suit jacket and took it off immediately after work.
Then I started loosining my tie everyday
Every one else took notice and went along.
Then I went without a jacket in the summer
Jacket never came back.
Then I just stopped wearing a tie altogether
Then others did too.
Fast forward to now, I'm wearing jeans, boots, and a t shirt to work.
My office as a useless closet type thing that's big enough for a jacket where I keep a button up shirt and a tie.
So when I get conference calls I am the camera so they can only see the shirt and tie
You probably shouldn't take my advice since I'm a fat lazy slob who used to quote entire pages of books in my dissertation back in college to make it seem like what I was writing wasn't pure shit
