I consider eqt 93/16's and tubular mocs as my beaters.
Both have held up well and they do okay in any weather with a bit of water repellent spray. I've also washed the EQT's with Jason Markk a couple of times and they're still in good condition.

I just got a pair of Adidas cloudfoam advantages. Tried on Stans and thought they were way too uncomfy, and cloudfoams were the cheaper comfier alternative. Quality of material isnt that much different than stans too. I can post pics if anyone is interested.

I'm a big fan of the pro model Vans. While they're more meant for skateboarding their extra cushioning holds up well against time. Also, I personally like to cut off the stripe as they ascend to beater-hood status.
