how do you have a planned date to get your hair dyed but not know what color you're going to get

>first time trying it and it goes bright yellow
>get it right the second time
>have to top it up after a few months
>goes violet
>goes back to white after a couple of days of shampooing the shit out of it
>brittle as fuck the whole time
