Imo it's cdg at its best. Putting a very unique twist to something normal and casual. I like it in an art-perspective but as a consumer i don't have that much of an interest in it. I suggest that people apporach CDG more for art than just clothes.

My take on it is that it's a reference to kids novelty shoes, taking the same sort of, "just stick a cartoon on it so kids will like it," design philosophy and adapting it to adult footwear. They also embody the same sense of unhindered, childish creativity that is evident in the weird cuts and clashing fabrics of the rest of the collection. Who else besides a kid would staple plastic dinosaurs to their shoes and think that it looks good?
Personally, I think they're very irreverent, fun, and tie in well with the rest of the collection. Will I wear them though? Probably not.
