I definitely prefer curves to model skinny most of the time. Somewhere between a kim kardashian and your typical fashion model is an ideal body type. There are exceptions to every rule though. Some women still look womanly when they're skinny and others carry a little weight better. A gut is a deal breaker though. I put in the work to stay fit, so can you.

I think they are too tall. Even in the countries where almost all men are over 185cm tall, fashion models are taller than them even without heels. This is probably something that makes fashion models less popular, because not all models are boyish or super skinny, commercial, underwear and alternative models are just thin, there are also plus size models, curvy (not fat) models, etc.
