Most people here would say never to wear jeans or shorts with formal elements (mainly blazers and sports jackets) including me. However there are always exceptions to that rule. How can one make those combinations look good?
Pic related is one of the few times I've liked the mix of blazer and jeans.

Yeah, I'll never understand why so many people insist on wearing jeans with suit jackets. It's uncomfortable and it looks like you half-assed your outfit.

I probably should have prefaced this thread with this: I have created this threat for knowledge only, I have no desire to add jeans to my formal clothing.

No, it's not, I'll always wear my white linen or green cotton trousers if I don't need business formal, but it's about how to wear high low without looking like a slob.
