Jansport backpacks fall apart so fucking fast. I had one once in high school, and it didn't last for more than a year or two. They look nice because of the minimalist design, but there's brands that aren't about style, but durability and function, and they last forever.

I have this backpack by High Sierra and it's lasted me forever. That said, it would be cool if they made really cool looking backpacks that were as functional as that one that don't fall apart.

Looks decent, I definitely recommend getting a tactical backpack for practical purposes.


I have had pic related for two years and NOTHING has broken even though I live out of it. I have taken it on multiple hikes and it washes well. The organization and load balancing is A+, and there's so much room to customize with patches and MOLLE gear. It isn't the most stylish, except if you already dress in milsurp and rugged clothes. Just don't get it in anything other than black or you'll get asked which branch you're in.
