What was /fa/ like before the rise of hypebeasts?
Peacoats and Clarks desert boots.

Goth ninja shit
and before that
was like SLP and the /r/malefashionadvice uniform believe it or not
It was not very fashionable at all in the beginning. People were pretty cool, though. I remember things picking up when everyone started getting into HY haircuts, Dior Homme and gothninja stuff.
I wonder what all the old tripfags are up to.
>>12615820
what kind of dog is that
>>12615823
it wasnt like mfa, it was before mfa.
>>12615850
it reminds me of the 2ch fashion board, even know they talk about cargo shorts and sandles.
hypebeasts only started flooding the board last year
>>12616742
pretty accurate
>>12616398
maltipoo
>>12616745
I like the little 6'2" guy
>>12615820
it was genuinely pretty decent
recent cops threads were full to the brim with designer items that were interesting, we would watch fashion shows live together, debate about designers, waywt's were actually good and a ton of our users got big on the other fashion forums as well like sufu/sz which lead to the more outspoken people on those sites coming here and keeping the discussion going
I still have no idea how /fa/ just died in like a month though.
Rip all the good users
>tinfoil actually writing to rick and getting an invite to his show, starts his own brand
>user/void graduating from the royal academy of antwerp
>timber going on to work as a stockist for a big company
e t c
>>12615820
hypebeasts have been around since before you got into fashion
that being said /fa/ was largely awful fucking dadcore before the ktt invasion in 2013, though the rise of rick improved things dramatically in late 2012
>>12616759
You're so full of shit.
>>12616762
This guy is corrrect.
>>12616775
yeah ok I just made that all up
not like there's an archive around that can prove everything I said is there
>>12616759
i left a while ago, came back recently just to have a look. my opinion so far is not too much has actually changed besides from the good trips leaving and some absolutely terrible ones popping up.
>>12616762
>>12616775
/r/streetwear go
>>12616420
That sounds about right for OP's tenyer.
>>12615820
there were either obsessed with clarks desert boots and j.crew, or nom de gurre all saints and that one shitty void the brand shirts , then when rick owens shit hit the used market then they were obsessed with rick owens
What ever happened to cooltop? I saw his youtube channel once and I was convinced that he was actually kind of crazy and not just some quirky attention seeking tripfag.
MANGO WAS THE FIRST HYPEBEAST I BLAME HIM, HE ENABLED ALL OF THEM OVER HERE. HIM AND HIS STUPID DUMB SHOE COLLECTION SHITPOST. IM SO MAD.
>>12616748
