10 years ago my mom got a 2bed 1 bath apartment in El Cajon for $800 and that was still the best price around despite being a roach and mold infestation. The only thing that sucks about small town living is there arent a lot of amenities for my current lifestyle and I hate living in large cities too. Yes, the housing/rent costs are the problem. $1200 for a 3 bedroom vs $2200 is a massive difference in cost on a month to month basis. A 300k house in Hamilton that goes for 800k+ in Toronto is a massive difference. No amount of similarly priced yoga classes will balance that out.

I lived in San Francisco for a few years, and it really is a beautiful place. I would recommend a visit, but like a lot of cities it has its share of issues. The homeless problem is getting fucking ridiculous these days, and the subway line is literal shit.

I see pictures like this and imagine my self living there, I don't think I'd ever get bored or not love it. My own home city has great scenery too but outside of those trendy parts it's a typical american hell hole. Understandable if you've seen it a thousand times, I guess it does get old.
