well yeah you're somewhat right, hedis SL is really just a very commercial and idealised version of what rockstars wore, but it was at least somewhat original in how it adapted this with a modern sensibllity, where as your all saints and Zara just straight rip off this look that's being done at the present moment and didn't really bring anything new to the table unlike what hedi did with SL
I would suggest you go thrift shopping if your really want the SL look on the cheap, because that's what all the rockstars hedi took from did, and basically was what hedi tried to update and commercialise
I personally think the look is lame as shit and there is much more interesting things going on fashion wise, but yeah, it's pretty hard to get the SL look without buying actual SL and without buying brands that rip off SL

well once you realise a lot of the clothes he released for SL were just adapted from thrift clothes and pictures of 70s rock artists, it's a bit hard to say his clothes are completely original, rather it was much more his adaptation of them to this very commercialised, perfected representation of this rockstar outfit that people could buy into without actually living the lifestyle of
he was able to make it as though you could have the thrift shop look, without actually going thrift shopping, all you had to do was spend a couple grand on an outfit (lol)
but for a lot of people with too much money, this wasn't a problem
