One of the largest impacts technology has had is that your tastes are no longer influenced by your environment as strongly as they were in the past. People on one side of the world are free to emulate people who live on the other side.

I only got into fashion because I had access to a computer, and though I was mainly interested in runways and designer brands, technology's had a huge influence over casual/street wear.

Trends pop up quick and die quicker.
