theres ways to work with curly hair, find a cut that suits it and roll with it.
look up different haircuts for curly hair and go to a salon and show them a picture

My advice : i had curly hair too, but since 8 years now I brush them everyday gently with ceramic ionic brush (Olivia Garden Ceramic and Ion Thermal Brush) or boar bristle brush and I can tell you it changed everything

Now they are not curly anymore but only wavy

I also do conditionner 2-3 times a week

I do like my curls when they look nice but they look frizzy and spongy most of the time, kinda like OP's picture
