i've just graduated college and i want to step up my look game. i've only ever dressed out of necessity and my wardrobe is p much thrift store t-shirts, jeans, and destroyed converse bc i've genuinely never cared before.
now, i feel like one's "brand" is really important. i want to have a more mature fashionable image.
so how do y'all know what to look for? where do you find it? favorite stores/websites? inspirations? how do you manage to find affordable pieces?
thank you!
If you just browse this forum long enough you eventually start getting into fashion, at least that's what happened with me. Didn't even start looking at other forums/magazines/ etc until a year after browsing. For a complete newbie I'd recommend lurking inspo threads and see if you can find a style you like. Alternatively, you could to to r/mfa and just learn to dress like a basic bitch but at least it fits the bill for a more mature fashion image

Newbie here: whatever some other good forums?

Depends on your definition of "good". Reddit has a lot of fashion focused subreddits, some are ok and some are trash. The problem with Reddit is that everyone is too afraid to say anything critical most of the time for fear of getting downvoted so you have to wade through a lot of shit to find any quality content. Kind of like this board, only worse.

Like already stated, just lurk. You'll create your own opinion on fashion because you'll be introduced to so many different ideas and fits. Find what suits you and work at it.

p much like other people said
lurk
exposure will find you something you like enough to look up more of it and shape it to your own style
