I recently tried Proraso pre shave cream and there was a noticeable difference while shaving. However, its ingredients are somewhat worrying (stearic acid, hydroxide, menthol, butylphenyl methylpropional, coumarin, cetearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol).

What's the concensus on this? Any other pre-shave/shaving soap that are free of chemicals?

Yeah, it dries out the skin and dry skin gets wrinkles faster. Also makes oily skin produce more sebum.
