Aside from my salty attitude, my bias mostly comes from the fact that most of black peers in my life have shunned me for not being "black enough". After protective styling I detangle with palm oil, I then massage my scalp breaking away old skin and sebum, then I go into the shower to detangle and oil rinse. I shake my hair out and most often the excess oil combined with dead skin is washed away leaving hair moisturized and sealed from the hot water.

I just didn't put that section of hair under the hot water, thin oils do nothing for me and the heat increase penetration for my hair.

I've been natural a decade (this is only 1 1/2 years old hair but quite long even when I cut off an inch two months ago), I know what I'm doing

Most people I speak to about this topic, don't find black women to be that attractive on average.
Black men is a different topic. Black men punch waaay above their weight class in the dating arena.
Here's an interesting study that basically confirms what I'm saying. The only divergence with my own theory is that black men get shitty response rates as well.
My guess is that has little to do with attraction and more to do with the fact that white women are probably afraid they will get raped (again. Not trying to be offensive, just speaking my mind)

The way things are today, black women, regardless of behavior, are perceived as unattractive *because of the way they look*. Period.

I also don't know why those traits are associated with femininity and masculinity the way they are but they are and they lead to black women being perceived as less attractive.

I don't have to make an argument. I'm postulating a hypothesis that I consider practically useful and it's this:
prolific stereotypes are probably right on average.
I have given you a high profile example of why I believe this to be true but proving this across every stereotype is prohibitive.
I'm sure there are abstruse stereotypes that have no statistical significance and could equally apply to every race.
These should be easy to separate from the pack because either (a) they are not prolific enough or (b) they make no sense.

There are blacks out there that can swim. I've seen them, but on average this is probably true in a way it's not true for asians or whites.
The reason being that the resources required for learning to swim are more readily found in the suburbs. Statistically blacks tend to concentrate in urban areas where there are fewer pools per capita.
