It depends how much you want to spend. There's always the option of using a proxy. The issue with that is the added cost and time of receiving the product.

I've looked into getting purple label stuff a few times and have often found lots of brand new stuff being sold on ebay.

porter is really nice. I have one bag from them. If you can get it at the non inflated japanese price I would definitely recommend going for it. Other than that, Briefing makes really nice bags in more of a military style but less autistic than modern surplus.
