Just made a thread (oopsy). Here it goes:

I've always been told that conditioner is used to combat frizziness and the shampoo is the culprit for frizziness.
Now, I don't know if it's my hair thinning or what, but I feel like conditioner may be making my hair frizzy. Because I remember when I was younger (17 ish) my hair was wavy but not frizz. Is it possible conditioner is really making my hair frizzy and not shampoo? And I've tried no poo, but it didn't doo much.

I guess I could just try not using conditioner for a night and see what happnes.

also whats your maternal grandfather's hair like? that usually determine how yours will age.

also try washing with just water. a lot of people swear by it. i use aesop shampoo. a little expensive but it usually keeps my hair looking nice. that, or just a little dr bronners soap.

How does one ask for the more severe HY, and by that I mean the one with the hair being fairly long on the sides and back, but clipped short around the ears and back hairline? So not tapered, but sort of a sudden shift from long to clipped about midway down the sides and back. Every time I go to the barber I try asking for this but the barber tells me it will look like a bowl haircut and that I should just do a normal taper on the sides and back, and I pussy out and say yes because I don't want them to give me a literal bowl haircut.
