I live a pretty monochrome life, and while my apartment and wardrobe are devoid of colour, the one thing in my life that is still bright is the food. So I was wondering if any of you knew about any dangers of adding activated charcoal to most of my food. Obviously I wouldn't be eating it constantly, but it would be incorporated into most meals so that I have some black food to contrast my white foods (rice, dragonfruit, etc.) Also any recipes for black or white food post here!

what about activated almonds? anyone?

black sesame and squid ink are fairly normal black ingredients. Poppy seeds are black as well, but they aren't generally used in high quantities.

Really, though. Get a life, man.

I'm vegan so no squid ink, shame because I hear it gives a great deep black.

This is a stupid idea, not only because the whole premise of living a 'monochrome life' is stupid but because there are serious health risks associated with overconsumption of activated charcoal including the possibly fatal aspiration pneumonitis.

Why the hell are you even asking about this on a fashion board? Activated charcoal is a drug and you should do your research before you even mess around with it.

I'm a bartender who occasionally uses activated charcoal in cocktails but I've discussed the risks with a doctor friend and he said the dose is too low to matter but if you're putting it in most of your food the risks are much higher.

I wouldn't recommend making charcoal a staple of your diet, just take charcoal pills or something

soylent is a meal replacement drink. the original flavor is white/beige.

It's honestly too beige for my tastes, but if I could make it look more aesthetic I'd consider it, hence this post.

So you're saying I probably shouldn't add it to my cocaine?

You're fucking retarded
