I really like the black bob, it's bold - a signature hairstyle. That said I really like auburn hair too, your gf is lucky having such a nice natural color. I would tell her to grow her hair and see how it feels. She can go back to the black bob anytime she wants if she misses it.

I did that too, one year growing my brunette natural hair out. it looks better on light skinned girls anyways and you can wear whatever you want. My man loves it.
