You first need some good designs and find people willing to turn those designs into actual clothing. He invested alot of his own money into taking these first steps.

What my friend did was contacting alot of semi-famous people online (footballers, rappers etc.) and asking them to wear his clothing on instagram pictures. I guess you also have to be a little charismatic to convince these people to wear your stuff

Right now he is trying to get his clothing into small stores that focus on upcoming brands

He sends the designs to some factory in Italy if I remember correctly. He doesn't know how to tailor himself he just comes up with the ideas and does the selling and promoting
