So, I'm looking to spend around $300 dollars on clothing. I was looking around at Zara's(online) and I found the clothing to be more interesting than say H&M or Uniqlo at a price I'm comfortable with. Problem is, I've heard that the quality of Zara's is around H&M tier at a higher price point. More than half of the shirts I've bought from H&M shrunk so I'm trying my best to avoid throwing away my money again. So /fa/, is Zara quality really that bad? Is there anything else like it around the same price point?

>$300 dollars
>300 dollars dollars

just for that im gonna not be helpful
>>

Pls forgive me anon ;_;
>>
>>12430923
what do you mean by "bad"?
>>
>>12430923
Zara's quality isn't much better, their men's collections are pure garbage. Take a look at COS instead.
>>
>>12430940
If the quality is terrible for the price.
>>
Why is H&M considered good quality when Uniqlo is so much better?
>>
>>12430923
these brands are still pretty cheap, even zara. obviously the quality is not going to be great. but for me personally i have only been buying clothing from cheap ass brands like this for the last couple of years, quality in clothing is not really a priority of mine as of now, can hardly pay the bills. i'm happy if i can buy something i just like.

from my experience, the quality of the clothing from cheap brands is pretty inconsistent though. i bought shirts from h&m that still look great after one year and did not shrink or stretch in weird ways. others start twisting after their first wash and are almost unwearable after that. some cheap jeans i got from h&m hardly show any colour fading, others had shitty stitching and fits from the start and are a waste of money.
same thing with zara. one jacket i bought was really good quality, better than i expected for its price, the next one was a lot worse and not really worth it if paying the full price. quality was even worse than the general impression i have on the quality of h&m clothing.

so basically zara is a bit of a hit or miss for me when it comes to quality. some worse than h&m and some better, but overall not that different from h&m. if you are looking for good quality pieces, the extra you pay with zara does not really equal an improvement in quality in most cases. i only buy clothing from zara when it is on sale, otherwise it is really not worth it for me. and even then i try to check the local store first to see if they have the item in stock, so i can assess the quality a bit before buying and notice any obvious flaws. one thing i must add though: i bought two pairs of shoes from zara, which were on sale, and even though i realize i have low standards, i was pleasantly surprised about their quality. might have just been a coincidence though.

Appreciate the response anon, thank you!

Not this guy, but I get what you're saying. I've had some pieces from cheap places like F21 or H&M that have lasted me years, but some look like crap after one wash. I think after awhile you start to develop some kind of intuition about what to avoid.

I also feel like Zara might be cut a little slimmer that some of the other places, but this might have changed since they've started opening stores in the US. I noticed that most clothes in their stores only have size S as their smallest, where they used to offer XS and even XXS on a lot of things.

From what I've heard, EU Zara is a lot better than US Zara, but I got a simple black formal blazer from there in 2013 and it's still my go to for formal wear.
>>
has anyone ever gotten a pair of jeans from zara? how is the sizing? worth the price?
>>
>>12431174
the sizing? pretty boring, not worth the price
>>

Spending $300 on fast fashion shit is ridiculous

With that money you could and should get 2 or 3 mid-end or 1 high-end piece. Something nice that would be worth spending so much on fucking clothing

Has anyone had any experience with this or other leather-jackets from Zara? And yes i'm a fucking homo so I want those zips to last.

The quality looks like shit on the pictures, where they do the maximum efforts to make it appear better than it actually is. If you actually contemplate buying this, I wonder wtf you're doing on a fashion board
>>
>>12430923
zara is far below h&m tier quality wise. that said h&m obviously has no male clothing apart from 3 basic shirts and 2 pants. just don't buy from either
>>
>>12430951
H&M isn't considered good quality by anyone.
>>
>>12431418
I just want a biker jacket and this was the only model that I liked when scrolling through.

On the other hand: cowhide, goat, lamb or pig? Which would be the best material.

i worked at a ZARA in the US for a year and a half or so. i used my employee discount to buy a ton of clothes from there and while they were pretty for a while, they die on you very fast. i think the only things i still wear from ZARA that i bought from that time (about 4? years ago) are the suits they gave us as uniforms. that was pretty great, every 6 months, they'd give us two pairs of suits and if i told them my pocket had a rip in it or some other bullshit like that, they'd give me a new set. i don't wear suits often so they're still in great condition and the slim fit is just my style

pic related is one of the suits i mentioned
