I first did 16:8, then OMAD. Now I do a mixture. See a high number on the scale, then I do a few OMAD days. Sometimes on the weekend I eat breakfast now too, but always zero carb.

I think it took me like two weeks to really get used to 16:8. Your body just adapts. Probably not a good idea to have a huge deficit when starting with it, since then you'll have two struggles going at once.

Today was our last final. She was in my class, thats how we met after she was in my group for a project. I live on campus while she commutes and lives at home with her parents who are very strict. Honestly I think eating maintenance once or twice a week is good.
It makes you less likely to do some huge binge and is way better for your hormones and mental state than eating at a constant deficit.
Plus in four or five years time when you look back on now you will greatly appreciate choosing to go out with your friends instead of sitting at home and missing out because you didn't want to go over some arbitrary calorie limit.

For protein i just by dried beans by bulk, they're cheap af and amazing

Also do not forget your spices they're what's goi g to take your meals to the next level, curry is fucking amazing with chickpeas. make sure you have the basic salt pepper chili cumin oregano dried garlic in your pantry and all your meals will taste fine anon

So I just started dieting because I noticed my lazy life style is getting me fat. Intaking about 1000 calories a day, and running 3 miles a day 4-5 times a week. Friends keep telling me at that calorie intake i'm just slowing my metabolism and I'll eventually plateau or even gain weight. How true is this? Should I bump up to about 1200? quetiapine is fucking shit. this one, olanzapine and mirtazapine should be avoided at all cost. proven to be in the top list of psych meds that increase you appetite (olanzapine even fucks with metabolism and worse).

you can definitely lose weight on quetiapine, but if unlucky your appetite is going to be crazy. the medication is so strong that you will just need to force yourself to lose weight. i lost 12 kg or so while still on it, it is just a lot tougher on the mind.

HELLS YEAH. I'm pretty sure my daily deficit is also 500-1000 kcal, so that's neat as fuck. I do some 35 minutes of exercise each day (crunches, squats, side plank, push-ups, that sorta stuff. 15+ min in the morning and 15+ min in the afternoon), I avoid getting more than 50 kcal worth of carbs at a time at all costs before dinner so that I avoid insulin-drops (they are the only thing that can make me feel weak, powerless and lazy. I just find it really hard to be confident that I'm getting anywhere now that I have no idea what my weight is. I keep changing my mind about whether it looks and feels like I lost a lot or a little. The only thing I know is my measurements. I want the smallest of my waist to be 62 cm (24 inches), now it's 66 cm (24 inches), and 6 weeks ago it was 78 cm (30 inches). That may make it seem like it's going great, but God knows how much of that is actually fat, and what if I'll suddenly reach a plateau or lose weight everywhere else? I just want to be done ASAP. Ok so you fast from Monday to Friday? Didn't think so. First of all download myfitnesspal, then calculate your TDEE. You are going to need to hit above that number everyday to gain weight, meal prep on the weekends for your days at work as well as make the gains shake each morning. Weigh yourself once a week, wake up take a piss then stand on the scales in your underwear so it's the same conditions each time. If you don't gain any weight then add 100 more calories, do this till you're consistently gaining weight. Yes you absolutely need to go to the gym unless you just want to put on pure fat, believe me you might think to yourself 'well I could use a bit of fat I'm just skin and bones', wrong, you will look skinnyfat as fuck. Skeletor mode is better than skinnyfat.

Don't tell me you don't have time for the gym, that's absolute shit. You don't have 3 hours per week to spend on yourself? That's an absolute lie and you're just being lazy once again if you say yes. While calories are the only thing that truly matters, i have the best luck with this method.

Breakfast >something with protein. Eggs or a protein bar. Coffee, no creamer.
Midday meals >oatmeal, greek yogurt, banana with peanutbutter. Any variation of those things.
Dinner >chicken breast on a slice of bread with lettuce and sriracha

I don't think there's anything special about this mealplan but it keeps me from getting hungry and binge eating. I aim for around 1600-1700 calories per 24 hour period (maintenance is 2200) and try to eat my last meal about 6 hours before bed.

For some reason intermittent fasting (not eating for a while before bed) seems to make weight loss significantly faster for me. I know the math doesn't particularly add up, but I was losing around 2-3lbs a week like this. Now I just maintain.

Went from 280lbs down to 155lbs at 6'1" in about a year with a combination of excessive stimulant use, active lifestyle, the aforementioned diet, and drinking lots of water.

I'll probably drop dead at 35 but for now at least i'm comfortable with my body.
