What does /fa/ think of YSL?
don't shift the discussion towards SLP please
>>12416300
YSL but not SLP.. the fuq
>>12416300
SLP is pretty tight op
>>12416335
what's wrong with that?
there have been countless discussions on SLP on /fa/
I am interested in opinions on their fashion before rebranding
>>12416300
losing the yves was a good decision imho
>>12416573
is YSL what SLP was called before? didn't understand the difference in the name.
>>12416370
Didn't they change it back to YSL with Vaccarello though?
>>12416709
no, they just plaster the classic logo over everything to appeal to instagram users.
new ysl lines have really emphasized how shit the house has become since hedi slimane's departure
the lack of basic knowledge about one of the (if not #1) most influential brand in the fashion industry of the last sixty years surprises me

This.
>>12416758
enlighten me
>>12416758
Yves himself didn't really influence menswear and since /fa/ is mostly about contemporary menswear it's no surprise that nobody cares
>>12416370
YSL under Tom Ford's direction wasn't awful to look at, but was uninspired and boring as fuck. But that tends to be the case prior to Hedi's revitalization.

If ive understood this correctly Yves Saint Laurent was the guy who founded the house, but it was called Saint Laurent. At some point they changed it to Yves Saint Laurent. When Hedi took over he changed it back to Saint Laurent and started using Saint Laurent Paris as branding

>implying
heh, you have lot to learn kid
these ain't ray bans, these saint laurent shades hoe
>>12416703
YSL used to be the name of the house
Since Slimane, there are 2 different names now : SLP for menswear and YSL for womenswear
So either OP wants to discuss vintage Saint Laurent or current womenswear collections
>>12416703
Hedi wanted to kick Yves' ghost fuck out of the house and make it his own money thrift shop.

Sure but sad
