You know these look very different in shape? I tink doc martens chelseas look awful myself. Id either get story et fall for the pointer sleeker shape or just get regular doc marten boots for the chunkier and more casual.

In that case I wouldnt reccomend going below story et fall in quality. they are the best chelsea untill you get into the ~$400's and they are also the closest to the ysl shape for that price range too

With leather footwear like Chelsea boots, I would really recommend against going for budget options. Even if you have to save up for a few months, spending $500-600 will get you something that will last for as long as you maintain them. Story et Fall or Doc Marten Chelseas will look like shit in under a year. If you can't bring yourself to spend that kind of money, buy used for 200-300.

RM Williams and Church's are good classic choices that go with everything. I don't like SLPs because the shape is so feminine and only really works with the SLP aesthetic. CPs are good for casual fits and some might prefer the crepe sole as it looks less formal.
